about
Artist Statment
Lily Marvin (b. 2001) is an artist concerned with the exploration of the body and interactions we experience bodies in or between, such as moments of intimacy, tension, or longing. Through sculpture, she uses materials that have bodily relationships and alludes to touch through their surfaces and qualities. By combining materials together her work aims to create a moment of contact and to draw out overlooked encounters to challenge and reconsider our experiences differently.
