Pinky to pinky, 2022, lyrca, stuffing, beads, thread, sandpaper, 132 x 17cm 



Turning the sculpture into a flipbook activated the growing moment of tension within the sculpture by watching the fingers either come together or grow apart depending on which way it is flipped.

This soft sculpture piece depicts a bond between two people which has been exaggerated by the long lengths of the pinky fingers that wrap and entwine around each other like the action of a pinky promise  




By using rough sandpaper that tugs against the smooth lycra, there is a clashing moment of tension between the bodies.
